Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Discovery Center is home to a miniature Weis Market.

The Discovery Center and Weis Markets held a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday.

The exhibit features real Weis packaging without the contents of the actual product. Not surprisingly, many of the children went right for the goodies.

"I think they like selecting their favorite items, like ice cream and they seem to really like checking out. It's fun to watch what they've learned from shopping at the real grocery store,” said Weis District Manager, Mike Umstead.

Children can order at the deli, stock-up on fruits and vegetables or even run the cash register.

The Discovery Center is home to 30 play-and-learn children exhibits.
