Cortland, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A new family-friendly music festival will be coming to Cortland County this summer.

"PeakFest" is sponsored by Visions Federal Credit Union and will take place on July 18-19 at the Greek Peak Mountain Resort.

The two-day event will kick-off with a performance by The Todd Hobin Band and Joe Whiting Band.

The festival will also highlight some of the resort's year-round activities, including an outdoor ropes course, zip lines, and exhibits showcasing New York wines and local craft beers.

"PeakFest came about because John and I love music and we're just into the concert scene. We always wanted to have some live concert events because that's the way we were raised and we are just totally thrilled to be able to bring this to the customers at Greek Peak,” said Marc Stemerman, co-owner of Greek Peak.

A 5K run will also take place on Saturday morning at Greek Peak during the festival. Proceeds from that will benefit the Cortland Regional Medical Center Foundation.

More information on Peak Fest can be found on Greek Peak’s website or by calling 800-955-2754.
