No Injuries In Johnson City House Fire

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) No one is injured in a morning house fire in Johnson City.

It happened around 9:15 a.m. at 292 Corliss Avenue.

A neighbor saw smoke coming from the house and called in the blaze.

When crews got to the scene, smoke was coming out of the basement, second floor and attic.

No one was home at the time of the fire, but a cat inside did manage to get out safely.

"There was smoke coming from the second floor window, guys went in found the fire between the first and second floor," said JC Fire Marshal David Hugent.

Union, Endicott and Johnson City crews all responded to the scene.

The cause is unknown at this time as the fire is under investigation.
