Roads In Cortland Co. Closed For Flooding

Cortland, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Several roads in the City of Cortland were closed due to overflowing water ways.

Cortland County Emergency Services says I-81 N between Preble and Tully may still be closed for a time Friday night.

Most of the effected areas in the city were closed down making it difficult to get around town Friday morning.

Groton Avenue was still open to drivers when Action News was on the scene.

Otter Creek was flowing right onto the roadway.

Parker Elementary School was also closed by the district due to flooding.

No significant damage was reported in the county.
