Jefferson Township, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Pennsylvania State Police at Dunmore, and the Lackawanna County District Attorney are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains.

On November 28, 2011 at approximately 9:30 a.m., two hunters discovered bones in a wooded area of SR247 near Moosic Lakes, Jefferson Twp., Lackawanna County.

A Forensic Anthropologist is examining the bones to determine their origin.

Several items of clothing were discovered by the remains.

The items include: Fruit of the Loom underwear, blue jogging shorts, a T-shirt (picture attached) & a silver ring (picture attached).

Anyone who may be able to identify the individual that may have been in possession of these items is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police at (570 )963-3156.
