Kirkwood, NY (WBNG Binghamton) For the 24th consecutive year, Don's Automotive Mall and Gary's U-Pull It have joined forces in supporting the Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) chapters of Windsor and Chenango Valley high schools.

They donated a car for the Post Prom Party for each school.

The Post Prom Party is an opportunity for students to enjoy alcohol- and substance-free post prom activities. Eligible students who stay the duration of the Post Prom Party have an opportunity to win a car.

"We feel as being part of the community it's our part to keep those kids safe," said Stephen Barkwell, manager of Gary's U-Pull It. "Having the car at the prom has always been a big draw. I was talking to the principal at Windsor and their prom was last week. They had 290 kids attend the prom and 280 attend the post prom when they are at the post prom. That's what keeps them safe."

This year's winner of the Windsor Prom Car Giveaway was Isma'il Griffin, a senior.

Griffin was presented with keys to a 2006 Volkwagon Jetta. He will be attending Morrisville State College in the fall and did not have a car.

"It felt like a dream. I was in shock. I could not believe I won," he said. "It probably would've been awhile until I got a car, so it's very nice to have this opportunity. The post prom was a lot of fun."

The Chenango Valley SADD program was given keys to a 2006 Dodge Caliber. Their prom has not yet taken place.
