Two people are indicted in a case where a girl was allegedly sold for sex.

Investigators say a Norwich woman offered the girl to her landlord instead of paying back rent.

While appearing in Federal Court in Binghamton, one defendant had a lot to say.

A woman and her former landlord could now head to trial after being indicted by a grand jury.

They're each accused of disturbing crimes against a child.

49-year-old Dean Sacco of New Jersey shouted at cameras after leaving the courthouse.

He and 46-year-old Linda O'Connor of Norwich face federal charges like selling a minor for sex and making child pornography.

Sacco was O'Connor's landlord.

But instead of paying back rent, investigators say she offered him a girl for sex.

Investigators say Sacco had sex with the girl at least five times when she was 12 and 13 years old.

Sacco claims the alleged victim changed her story.

"The lady's not guilty and I'm not guilty, and the girl's taking everybody on one heck of an incredible ride. So she's lying? Yes, for what reasons I don't know," said Sacco.

Sacco and O'Connor allegedly took pictures of the sex acts.

Investigators say O'Connor also sold the girl for sex to two other men here at a Johnson City hotel.

If convicted, both defendants could serve life in prison.

Sacco also faces rape charges involving the same girl in Chenango County, but that trial is being delayed.

The alleged victim is now 14 and living in foster care.
