Mayor Ryan to Announce Launch of Binghamton Wifi

By WBNG News

Mayor Matt Ryan will announce the official launch of Binghamton Wifi – which provides free, unlimited wireless internet service to the downtown area – at a news conference this Thursday, March 6th, at 11:30AM in City Hall’s 2nd Floor Gallery.

“Binghamton Wifi is another step forward in the City’s efforts to renew the downtown core, and I applaud my staff and our community partners for their collaborative efforts,” said Mayor Ryan. “Wireless internet capabilities are important for many of those of those who live, study, and work downtown, including entrepreneurs, students, and artists. The Wifi ‘hotspot’ adds greater attraction to a growing, vital downtown.”

At 11AM in the Gallery, Mayor Ryan will host a reception for community partners to learn how they can use and support the Wifi service.
