Parkhurst Acquitted Of Manslaughter

By Lindsey Nesselbush

A Bradford County jury says Josephine Parkhurst did not kill her mother.

She was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter, after more than 6 hours of deliberations.

Parkhurst was accused of pushing her elderly mother down the stairs in Sayre last August.

An autopsy showed the woman suffered severe chest injuries.

Parkhurst was found guilty of aggravated assault and simple assault.

She's now in Bradford County jail where she'll await sentencing.
