It's a dream come true for a grandmother in Chenango County.

Two weeks ago, she won the instant game, "Win a Thousand Dollars a Week for Life".

"Give it up for Diane. Thank you."

Diane Scheer is a newly crowned millionaire.

But winning a jackpot has not really changed her life.

"I don't feel any different. I haven't done anything different. I still have to go home and clean the house," says Scheer.

Scheer is a retired seamstress and a grandmother of eleven.

She says she's not a big spender.

But, looks forward to buying things that she wants...when she wants.

"She deserves a hundred percent of it, what else can I say, it's my mom," says son, Tim Scheer.

Scheer says it's tradition she buy her scratch tickets at this Price Chopper in Norwich.

And then brings them home to play.

Diane buys 4 or 5 scratch tickets a week out of these machines, but says she's only won big...one time.

Now that's she's a winner, she's sharing the secret with her friends.

They're hoping her luck rubs off on them.

"I mean who knows, there might be another one here. She bought another Lottery for Life ticket after she won the money," says Tim Scheer.

To celebrate, Scheer's kids want to take a family vacation.

"I have mentioned a few times, take the whole family down to Disney World, so we'll see what happens what that it," says Chris Scheer.

And thanks to one lucky scratch ticket...

This family will be able to enjoy a richer life together.

Scheer will now get a thousand dollars a week for the rest of her life.

And is guaranteed at least a million dollars.

She's Chenango County's first Lottery Millionaire of 2008.
