A jury is seated to hear the trial of two people accused of sex trafficking and child pornography.

Opening arguments are underway in the trial of 46-year-old Linda O'Connor of Norwich and 49-year-old Dean Sacco of New Jersey.

This is the pair as they left Federal Court in Binghamton Monday.

The prosecution says O'Connor sold a girl for sex numerous times and the woman videotaped the abuse for several years.

Prosecutors say Dean Sacco raped the girl 7 times between August 2006 and November 2007.

The girl claims it started within a few days after she and O'Connor moved into the apartment Sacco rented to O'Connor.

Investigators have said the girl was offered to him in exchange for rent.

The prosecution also says Sacco is a "prolific pedophile" who has traveled out of the country to have sex with children and kept diaries.

The defense attorneys began opening statements late this afternoon.

Sacco's lawyer says the girl is severely mentally ill and he's never seen any pictures or video showing the abuse.

Defense opening arguments will continue tomorrow at 10:00 am.
