College "Course"
Students of the Mountainview Engineering Learning Community held their Spring Showcase.
Their challenge was to design and construct a portable miniature golf course. Each hole is judged on creativity and playability. Students say it taught them a practical example of engineering. "I didn't know what it was before I came into this school but this whole learning community and this project really helped me understand that engineering is about group work, it's about professionalism," said Corey Juliano. Each mini golf hole was designed to be portable and can be stored in a closet. The course will be kept in Appalachian Hall for all students to use. |
