Volunteer's Recognized

By WBNG News

A Broome County organization wants to make sure that our volunteers get the recognition they deserve.

Faith in Action hosted it's tenth annual Lives of Commitment breakfast this morning at the Binghamton Regency

This year six people received awards for their special service including those that aided in the cleanup effort after the floods of 2006.

John O'Neil of Lourdes Hospital says this years award winners are truly the best of the best.

"They really exemplify what this is all about, about serving others about volunteering in our community and really taking care of people that are in need."

O'Neil went on to say that it was the volunteerism of individuals and groups like faith in action that made the difference in 2006.
