Sharpe Returns From Middle East

By WBNG News

After spending 6 months in harms way in the middle East, Christopher Sharpe is safe at home Friday night in Johnson City.

Sharpe has been in the US Navy reserve for 21 years.

And was recently stationed in Kuwait.

His unit helped the Army deliver supplies to the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.

Sharpe says it was the largest logistic enterprise since World War Two.

His return comes about 2 weeks earlier than expected.

"It's a great feeling to see my boys and my family again. You know we've seen them over the web cam and things and phone calls and stuff but to have everybody in the flesh is great," said Sharpe.

Sharpe says he expects a somewhat lengthy stay at home.

A doesn't expect the call back to the Middle East for a while.
