Invention Convention

Invention Convention

By WBNG News

Students are using their imaginations and becoming some of the Southern Tier's youngest inventors.

This Invention-Convention was held inside the Events Center at Binghamton University.

More than 700 models were on display.

Students in kindergarten through 8th grade, from 50 different school districts, participated in the convention.

They were selected from their schools as finalists.

The kids say they're proud of their work.

But, are also excited to check out the competition.

Chenango Forks 3rd grader Aidan Houlihan says "I'm looking at other people's inventions and seeing how other people can have great ideas too. A great thinker can come from anywhere."

Some of the most popular inventions were the hair master dream machine, an energy powered cell phone and a multi dog-walker leash.
