Binghamton Fire Investigators say arson caused a fire that destroyed an abandoned building.

This is the Empire Lumber Building on Thursday night.

The fire broke out around 8:45 at 18 Jarvis Street.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators say human involvement caused the fire.

All utilities were turned off in the building, and all accidental possibilities have been ruled out.

The Fire Department says people frequently trespassed onto the property.

On April 25th another fire ignited here at 34 Eldredge Street.

It also has been ruled arson.

A 9 year-old boy was seriously injured.

No arrests have been made in either case.
