A woman crashes into a Vestal restaurant with 2 young children in the car.

Vestal Police say the woman drove this Honda C-RV through the side of the I-HOP Restaurant on the parkway.

It happened around 5:30 this afternoon.

The front end of the car crashed into the restaurant's kitchen.

Employees say the car hit a gas grill and a deep fryer.

Their first concern was people's safety.

"We had to get everybody out. The alarm started going off, we had to ask people to leave the restaurant. It was just chaotic. I don't know, I still can't catch my breath." says Jared White, an IHOP Emplyoee.

New York State Electric and Gas shut off utilities before crews tried removing the vehicle.

Broome County Department of Health must also inspect the restaurant.

A cause of the crash is not known at this time.

No major injuries were reported.
