A trailer fire in Barton sends one elderly man to the hospital with first degree burns.

This is all that's left of a home in the Sunset Trailer Park on Route 17 C.

It caught fire around 9 this morning.

The Waverly-Barton Fire Chief says when crews arrived on the scene an 83 year old man was waiting outdoors.

He was inside when the fire started.

The man was taken to Robert Packer Hospital to be treated for burns on his hands and face along with smoke inhalation.

The fire chief says it took crews about 15 minutes to put out the flames.

The cause is still under investigation.
