Hanna To Challenge Arcuri For Congress

By WBNG News

An upstate businessman says he's running for Congress.

57 year old Republican Richard Hanna of Utica made the announcement in the Town of Chenango today.

He's running for the 24th Congressional District.

A seat currently held by Democrat Michael Arcuri.

Hanna says change is needed in Washington.

"The problem isn't identifying what's wrong, its identifying the solutions and then acting on them in a way that's responsible and far thinking. Plans not just for the next political cycle, but for the next generation," says Hanna.

Hanna says he'll also focus his campaign on issues like Iraq, immigration, social security, Medicare, and rising energy costs.
