Binghamton University expects a swarm of people to pack its campus this weekend.

Preparations are underway as BU hosts more than 15 thousand people at its 58th commencement ceremony.

Measuring aisles, moving equipment, raising technology, and placing platforms.

It's the prep work needed for a great graduation weekend at the Events Center on Campus.

BU President Lois DeFleur says "This is what we are all about. We're about educating these talented hard-driving students who will make a difference in our community, in our state, in our nation and indeed the world."

More than 32 hundred students are slated to walk down this aisle an receive a degree.

Nuala Mabe is one of the first in her family to earn a master's.

"We are actually checking out where we are going to have my father, mother and my uncle, who came for the graduation ceremony. I am staking out where the best position would be for us to sit in."

Her mother, Molly Mabe says,"Oh my gosh...I'm happy she made it."

BU added a fourth commencement ceremony this year.

Allowing students to invite more guests to graduation day.

"Throughout commencement weekend more than 15 thousand family and friends are expected to fill the stands here at the University Events Center."

And the university wants to make sure those people are treated as
guests of honor...
