Tons of Support

Tons of Support

By WBNG News

Students collect tons of support for a local charity...while also saving the environment.

Student volunteers load boxes of donated items onto a truck to benefit CHOW, The Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse.

There are clothes, jackets, shoes, food and even dvd players.

Donation bins were placed in the lobbies of campus dorms.

Making it easy for students moving out to donate unwanted items, rather than trashing them.

"It seems likes kids are like really excited about it. We've had some kids call us up and ask about it, and we get like 6 tons a year for all of campus" says BU student Bryan Ellis.

This is the 6th year for the collection.

Volunteers say by recycling used clothing and technology they're helping people and the environment.
