The Broome Community College class of 2008 graduated Thursday night.

Broome Community College held it's graduation ceremony at the Broome County Arena in Binghamton.

Hundreds of students received their diplomas.

For some graduates BCC is a first step in higher education.

They may go on to to study at other schools.

For others BCC offers a chance to start a new career after graduation.

This years BCC graduating class ranges in age from 17 to 61.

"You just have to work hard. You have to get things done and you know it all pays off in the end and I'm happy to be here.," said graduate Brian Egan.

"I'm going to transfer to another college. Further my studies again. You never stop learning," said graduate Antonio Carter.

"We had a really good time at BCC, playing soccer and winning the national championship together so we're going to be like sisters forever," said graduate Emily Cirillo.
