The Greater Binghamton Air Show lifts off...

Air crafts from the past and present took center run-way.

Action News Reporter Julianne Sweeney tells us, the sight, sounds and excitement draw a crowd of old and young.

These fast flyer's put on a show in the sky...

Wowing people of all ages.

But, it's the smallest wannabe pilots that get the biggest thrill.

"Especially when you get the little ones in there that are interested. Just really an old air plane. Yes, it's old. They don't make them anymore. And, there's very few flying today. It's a wonderful feeling." says volunteer, Joe Parkinson.

The Greater Binghamton Air Show has been flying over Binghamton since 1998.

This year, 30 to 40 military aircraft are in town.

Including F-16 and F-18 jets, World War II-era aircraft, and civilian performers.

"I think it's great because people get entertained by the planes out in the field." says Sam Hoffman of Chenango Forks.

"...I like seeing them do this." says Timothy Mills of Windsor.

So whether if that's what you want to see.

Or if it's a nose dive.

Or spirals.

The Air Show has it.

Keeping thousands coming back year after year.

"It's just a fun day. A lot of good food. The kids and adults too enjoy going through the large airplane. It's fabulous." says Barbara Fiala, Broome County Executive.

Fiala says the event was such a success that...

The Air Show is set to fly back into town again next summer.

In the Town of Maine, Julianne Sweeney, WBNG-TV, Action News.
