23-year-old linked to multiple Oneonta robberies

Town of Davenport, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) New York State Police caught the man they believe is responsible for multiple robberies in Oneonta.

Johnathan Lynn, 23, of East Meredith, New York was arrested for attempted robbery on Saturday at Otsego Auto Crushers, located on State Highway 23 in the Town of Davenport, Delaware County.

According to troopers, further investigation revealed that Lynn was also responsible for two recent robberies in Oneonta.

The first robbery was at The Convenience Express on April 19 and the second was at an Otsego County Arby's on April 24.

Lynn was charged with attempted robbery in the third degree, a class E felony and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, a class A misdemeanor.

Lynn was taken to Delaware County Jail with cash bail set at $15,000.

Additional charges of two counts of robbery in the second degree, a class C felony, are pending in the Town of Oneonta Court.

During the investigation, State Police were assisted by the Otsego and Delaware County Sheriff’s Departments, the Oneonta Police Department and the New York State Division of Parole.
