Highland Park Shows Patriotic Spirit

Highland Park Shows Patriotic Spirit

By WBNG News

Families and Friends also gather at the Highland Park Fourth of July festival.

This year features a Nascar race simulator.

Kids enjoy the pony ride and carousel.

But for some, the games and rides took a backseat to the food like the Spiedies and shaved ice.

Bands play patriotic music while some parents click cameras.

"We take some pictures so later on when their older we can look back at the pictures and kind of re-live the memories." said Kyle Kaurin of Endicott.

"The kids can run around. They can spill stuff on the grass and we just have a good time." Said Matthew Marincic of Endicott.

Scott Buckley of Aringlton, Virginia says "It's a yearly trek for us to see the grandparents and it's a lot of fun."

You can still head over to join the fun this evening.

Again, Highland's fireworks should start at 9:30.
