(WBNG Binghamton) For the 23rd Congressional Race, early results showed the two candidates each with 50 percent of the vote.

But as the results trickled in throughout the morning, Republican Thomas Reed II, has taken 52 percent of the vote and is now the unofficial winner.

Reed's opponent, Nate Shinagawa watched the results from the Holiday Inn at Ithaca.

The incumbent, Reed, watched the results from the Radisson Hotel in Corning.

The 23rd District represents Tompkins County, and parts of Tioga County.
