Johnson City Woman Arrested For Animal Cruelty

Police says a Johnson City woman's poor treatment of her dog, led to it's death.

32-year old Jennifer Gosart is charged with cruelty to animals.

Endicott police say she failed to provide food, water and proper shelter to two dogs...

A 15-year old Rottweiler and a 2 and a half year old Alaskan Malamute, which later died at the Vestal Veterinary Hospital.

The two dogs allegedly went without care for 31 hours...with temperatures reaching up to the mid 80's.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the Alaskan Malamute in shock.

It later died at the Vestal Veterinary Hospital.

The rottweiler has been seized by the B.C. Humane Society.
