Accidental Drowning In Susquehanna County

A day of swimming turns deadly in Susquehanna County.

A man accidentally drown at Wyalusing Creek in Rush Township.

It happened around 7:20 PM Friday.

The man was swimming with a friend when he disappeared.

He was found, and drug out of the water where CPR was performed.

State Police say the victim was 39 year-old Christopher Capitano of Pittston.

He was taken to Tyler Memorial, then air-lifted to Robert Packer Hospital.

Capitano died a short time later.

Troopers say alcohol was involved.
