Car Collides With Broome County Corrections Van

A driver crashes into a Broome County Corrections Van.

28 year-old Brandon Matthews of the Town of Binghamton was ticketed for a number of violations.

Including reckless driving, and driving on the shoulder.

He was driving southbound on I-81 in the Town of Kirkwood after 11 O'clock this morning.

Matthews vehicle pulled from the center lane into the passing lane.

It struck a Broome County Corrections van holding 12 weekend inmates.

Matthews vehicle flipped over several times.

It came to rest on its wheels.

Matthews was taken to Wilson Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

No inmates injuries were reported
