Van Rollover in Binghamton

Van Rollover in Binghamton

By WBNG News

One person is sent to the hospital after a van rolls over in Binghamton.

It happened at the corner of Highland and Crary Avenues shortly before noon.

Emergency responders say a car was stopped at the intersection.

A van travelling along Highland Avenue clipped the front end of the car, flipped over and landed on its roof in a front lawn.

Binghamton Police are reconstructing the accident to determine if speed played a role in the crash.

|"I mean he only dinged the front of me, but just from dinging you had to be going that fast if your car's going to completely tumble and flip. So yeah...his car...he...there's no way he was going 30." says Nicole Stempel of Binghamton.

Stempel had two small children in her back seat.

They were all wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the van was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
