Discounted beds are offered to help raise money so children can get a good nights sleep.

Furniture companies donate slightly blemished or stained furniture to "Beds 4 Kids".

It collects 150 beds a week.

Most are given to non-profit organizations who give them to people in need.

But Beds 4 Kids can re-sell others to cover expenses like warehousing and delivery.

Founder Leonard Hilldale says for every 100 dollars someone spends at the fundraiser, 20 children will receive beds.

"I never believed people when they told me that being kind was it's own reward but there's so many things you gain from helping other people," Hilldale said.

The bed sale fundraiser is this Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Go to the former Warehouse Carpet Outlet at 3100 Watson Boulevard in the Town of Union.

Beds are sold at well under retail price.
