Furniture Fundraiser Benefits Kids

Furniture Fundraiser Benefits Kids

By WBNG News

People shopping for new furniture, get a double deal...

Bargain prices, while supporting a good cause.

Beds 4 Kids is a non-profit organization that gives beds to children in need.

In just two years of existence it has handed out over 5 thousand beds.

This weekend it was selling discount mattresses, couches, and dining room tables to the public.

The group gets slightly marked, or damaged furniture from stores for free.

Money raised helps with daily operations.

"People are shocked at how cheap the furniture is, and uh ya know, being that I give furniture away...it's kind of hard for me to ask really high prices for it," said Leonard Hilldale of Beds 4 Kids.

The Beds 4 Kids fundraiser is held the first full weekend of each month.

Saturdays and Sundays from 9-am to 5-pm at the old Warehouse Carpet Outlet building.

That's at 31-hundred Watson Boulevard in the Town of Union.
