A man is sent to the hospital after being struck by a tractor-trailer in Vestal.

Vestal police say it happened around 4:20 AM Saturday.

A tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on Route 17 just past exit 67 South...

When it hit a man walking in the middle of the road.

Police have not identified the man, and do not know why he was in the highway..

A sergeant says foggy conditions may have contributed to the accident.

The driver was not ticketed.
