The waters are receding in Conklin, but as these aerial pictures show the damage has been done.
Linda Spear says she had 10 minutes to evacuate her home.

"The house is completely off its foundation," says Spear. "It's moved probably 15 feet. It's completely off the foundation. Everything is gone."

Neighborhoods, cars and businesses are waterlogged.
Images of tipped over Maines trucks.
Conklin Sports Park is an underwater park.
And a drenched cemetery.
This family was on vacation when someone called to tell them flood waters were in their home's first floor.

"Unfortunately, because we were away a lot of things that were in the basement and in the family room downstairs," says Tracy Blazicek. "We weren't able to move so everything is still there."
Jean Halliday and husband Randy, were shuttled by helicopter from the Susquehanna Valley High School, leaving everything behind.

"Not knowing if your home has been flooded. Not knowing how much damage is there. Not knowing if we can get back in. Some people can, but we don't know if we can go back in, says Halliday.
Some people are being allowed into their homes in Conklin, but only briefly.
Fears of electrical, gas and contamination issues in the flood waters are keeping most people out of their homes and out of harm's way.
