A church in Vestal is just beginning to get into the groove.

It's the third year for Calvary Tabernacle Church is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner.

Over 40 Parishoners volunteered.

Organizers have been prepping the past 4 months.

They say it brings their congregation and community closer together.

"we do it as an outreach. We do it for members of our church who are alone this year. We do it for people throughout Vestal and Endicott, in Western Broome. I think we're one the few that do this. We do this so people have a place to spend Thanksgiving and have a good wholesome meal," said Merry Jones, Calvary Tabernacle Church.

The church serve about 150 meals in its gymnasium.

And delivered about 40 more to homes in the community.
