Binghamton Company Growing, Looking For New Employees

By Kiersten Mathieu

Knovel is an online subscription company, providing research material for scientists and engineers worldwide.

It's located in downtown Binghamton.

Knovel executives say the company is thriving.

"We need to hire more people. We have more demand for people than we have the people. And so we want to encourage graduates from the excellent schools in the area to consider this as one of their options for employment," says Chris Forbes, CEO of Knovel.

Knovel has 7 jobs available now, and expects to add 20 more in the near future.

The company received state funding last year and it's already expanded it's office space and workforce.

Mayor Matthew Ryan along with Knovel's employees cut the ribbon to celebrate the company's success.
