There is no unnecessary travel in Broome County.

There is also a travel advisory in Chenango County, which means no unnecessary travel as well.

There have been 2 rock slides closing 2 major sections of highway.

A rock slide on Interstate 88 eastbound in the Town of Chenango between exits 2 and 3.

Broome county reports several vehicles were involved and several people injured, at least one seriously.

We're told up to 6 ambulances were dispatched.

Right now, the county is sending crews with front end loaders to the scene to clear the road.

I-88 east is shut down at route 7 in Binghamton or the Brandywine Highway.

Another rockslide occurred at the Kamikaze curve in Binghamton on Interstate 81.

I-81 south is closed from Exit 5 in the town of Dickinson to the Kamikaze curve.

Also, reminding people, an official red cross shelter has been set up at Binghamton High School if people need a place to go.
