An outcry from the family of Kelly Wescott.

Her body was found dead Saturday.

A boyfriend has been charged with murder.

The Wescott family says the couple had a rocky relationship.

But as Action News reporter Leigh Dana tells us, they're still demanding answers.

"She didn't deserve to be murdered by this psycho man," cries sister Kristi Wescott.

Her family are in tears over the death of 46 year-old Kelly Wescott.

Shown here in yellow, she was a mother, sister and grandmother.

The family held a memorial service in honor of Wescott in front of her apartment building at 85 Floral Avenue In Johnson City.

"She was a very good person. Very full of life. I love her and she will never be forgotten," Kristi says.

Kelly Wescott was found dead in her apartment early Saturday morning.

Police have charged her boyfriend, 48 year-old William Kenyon of Johnson City with second degree murder, in connection with her death.

Although, police would not say how or when she died.

Wescott's daughter, Kristi says the two were allegedly having a domestic dispute the night before her body was found.

Something her family says was *not* uncommon for the couple.

Like many times before, the family called police.
"The police officers see this woman being beaten. And say well, we're not gonna do anything to him.," says Kelly's mother, Marilyn Lake.

"They came and wrote a paper saying he had to leave. Didn't arrest him and then he came back and killed my mother," says Kristi.

But that will later be determined in court.

The family say information from the department of correctional services shows Kenyon spent more than a decade in prison for vehicular manslaughter and other charges.

As for the family, they hope no other family has to suffer and feel the pain they are going through.

An autopsy will be performed Monday to determine the exact cause of death.

Now, Kenyon has been arrested and arraigned in Johnson City Village Court.

He was taken to Broome County Jail.
