It happened at the intersection of Route 12 and River Road just after noon Monday.

It appears a car pulled onto route 12 from River road, and into the path of an on-coming tractor trailer.

The driver of the big rig swerved, but still hit the car, and then crashed into the front yard of home.

The trailer was still standing, the cab rolled onto its side.

A woman driving the car, a child passenger and the truck driver were all taken to local hospitals.

Emergency workers say their injuries did not appear life-threatening.

State Police have not released their names, and no word on charges.

Traffic was detoured on that stretch of route 12 for several hours.
