Technicians at Highland Park in the Town of Union spent the day setting up.

The event takes precision planning.

Hundreds of fireworks from as far away as China will be set off.

They're organized in 7 separate lines.

One for each song it is choreographed to match.

"I listen to the song. And I have a palette of fireworks which I draw from, like an artist really. I have a song, I know what the song sounds like, where the action is. I draw the fireworks to fit the song," said Charles Hill, lead piro-technician.

The fireworks show starts at 9:30 Saturday night.

It is free and open to everyone.

Beginning at 7:00 Saturday night Hooper Road will be closed between Farm to Market Road and Taft Road.
