Welcome aboard Fat Albert Airlines.

This C-130 weighs in at more than 100,000 pounds and can travel at about 370 miles per hour.

"It's size tends to fool people. The aircraft for it's size is very nimble," said Capt. Edward George of The Blue Angels.

"It's a little windy, may be a little bumpy but we'll take it easy on you guys."

We had our warning and we buckled up for the ride.

But taking it easy was an understatement.

"We got to do JATO today, and on the fourth of July of all days to do a JATO shot, that's pretty cool as well," said Ben Chapman of the Blue Angels.

That JATO shot was fueled by 8 rockets...secured onto the side of Fat Albert.

Helping it to accelerate 12 hundred feet into the air.

It makes the most intense roller coaster feel like a kiddy ride.

Then a relief comes from the pressure...but hold on...

Zero Gravity had some of us floating.

After a few more turns and tricks...

It was time to come in for a quick landing.

"As you experienced we got it stopped in less than 1 thousand feet which is unheard of for an aircraft this size," said Capt. George.

And it was a rush the rest of us had never felt before.

But besides the surprising speed and ability of Fat Albert...

It serves as critical support for the Blue Angels Team.

"It is a true work horse it provides a lot it can do a lot of things so its great," said Capt. George.

Everything from carrying the crew and 35 thousand pounds of cargo needed to keep the team flying...

To giving it's passengers a little thrill.

"It's a complete honor and I love it," said Chapman.

And it was an honor to be on board with the Blue Angels.

The Blue Angels say they feel privileged to represent the 540,000 marines and sailors fighting overseas.

Fat Albert's military maneuvers are used during combat in the Middle East.
