Five arrested on meth lab tip (with photos)

Cortlandville, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Cortland County Sheriff’s Department arrested five people Tuesday, after receiving an anonymous tip of a possible meth lab.

The house, located at 9 Penguin Drive in the Town of Cortlandville, was the home to four out of the five people arrested.

Two people were found to be in possession of methamphetamine, according to deputies.

Tuesday evening, deputies obtained a search warrant for the home which revealed meth had recently been made.

Deputies said other than the hazardous materials left around, neighbors were not in danger.

A certified company from Syracuse was called to the scene to clean up the hazardous material.

All five people were taken to the Cortland County Jail on the following charges:

 

Stephen Martincak, 45, 9 Penguin Drive, Cortland

- Unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the third degree, class D felony

- Unlawful disposal of methamphetamine lab material, class E felony

 (Bail set at $10,000 cash)

 

Georgia Lockwood, 27, 9 Penguin Drive, Cortland

- Unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the third degree, class D felony

- Unlawful disposal of methamphetamine lab material, class E felony

Criminal possession of hypodermic needles, class A misdemeanor

- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, class A misdemeanor 

(Bail set at $10,000 cash)

 

Maurice N. Peterson, 46, 9 Penguin Drive, Cortland

- Unlawful manufacturing methamphetamine in the third degree, class D felony

- Unlawful disposal of methamphetamine lab material, class E felony

Criminally possessing a hypodermic needle, class A misdemeanor

- Criminally using drug paraphernalia, class D felony

 (No bail)

 

Shanna Lockwood, 31, 9 Penguin Drive, Cortland

- Unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the third degree, class D felony

- Unlawful disposal of methamphetamine lab material, class E felony

Criminally possessing a hypodermic needle, class A misdemeanor

 (Bail $10,000 cash)

 

Branden Johnson, 24,14 Portwatson St., Cortland

- Unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the third degree, class D felony

- Unlawful disposal of methamphetamine lab material, class E felony

Criminally possessing a hypodermic needle, class A misdemeanor

- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, class A misdemeanor

(No bail)
