By WBNG News

It's election day 2009.

Many people cast their vote just after the polls opened around 6:00 AM Tuesday.

In Johnson City, people began logging their votes when the doors opened at the middle school at 6:00 AM.

A couple tough decisions on the ballot for Johnson City voters this year.

First, choosing a mayor.

Incumbent Mayor, democrat Dennis Hannon is up against republican George Kolba.

JC voters also have to decide whether to dissolve the village into the Town of Union.

All polls are open until 9 PM in New York.

In Pennsylvania, polls opened at 7, and will remain open until 8 PM.
