10 people are displaced tonight after a fire in Binghamton.

It started just after 7 PM here at this 2 family home at 66 Pine Street in the city.

Fire officials say it started in the basement and then spread through the wall and to the first floor.

Everyone made it out safely before the Binghamton Fire Department arrived on scene.

The Red Cross is assisting the families to find temporary homes tonight.

The cause is under investigation.
