People in Johnson City also took to the polls to decide their next Mayor.

Democratic Incumbent Mayor Dennis Hannon defeated Republican challenger George Kolba by more than 12-hundred votes.

Mayor Dennis Hannon won election to the office he was appointed to in June.

We caught up with him at Democratic Headquaters at the Regency in Binghamton.

"I am very greatful to the people of Johnson City. It appears they've given me the opportunity to continue serving after January. It just remains to be seen if that'll be one year or four years," Hannon says.
