Blythe Holds Healthy Lead

By WBNG News

Two men were vying to be Broome County Clerk.

Republican Incumbent Rick Blythe went up against Democratic challenger Eugene Burns for the job.

So far Blythe has a commanding lead with 17,323 votes to Burns' 9,196.

"We're going to go back to work tomorrow," said Blythe. "It's a job we enjoy doing. It's not as exciting as the mayor's race but it's exacting work that needs to be done very efficiently and quietly."

Again these are the unofficial results.

They won't be official until all results are in, including absentee ballots and are certified by the Board of Elections.
