Broome Community College students skip class to rally against the school administration.

BCC students staged a protest at the college's cafeteria.

Students say they want the board of trustees to pick up the pace of selecting a new president.

They feel without a leader, they aren't getting the most out of their education.

"We don't have much of a say. I feel this is us saying we have something to say and we just want you to listen. And we're not really mad, like get your pitchforks kind of thing but we just calmly want to tell you that we're not happy," said student Ashley Vincent.

A petition was passed out during the three and half hour sit in.

Organizers hoped to get more than 200 signatures and deliver it to the board of trustees sometime this week.
