Union Supervisor Awaits JC Dissolution Results

By WBNG News

While people in Johnson City anxiously wait to find out if their village will cease to exist, so does the Town of Union.

Union Supervisor John Bernardo says he's also on the edge of his seat waiting to hear if the dissolve proposition passed or failed.

He thinks it's unfortunate Tuesday's vote did not go overwhelmingly one way or the other.

Bernardo says not knowing, is tearing the community apart.

"It's horrible. It divides a community and that's the last thing you want: neighbor against neighbor over a lot of different issues," says Bernardo.

The decision on whether Johnson City dissolves is up to village voters and not the entire Town.
