Afton Graduate Recovering From Ft Hood Shooting

Family of 30 year old Matthew Cooke of Afton say he is recovering from 3 gunshot wounds to the back.

Cooke was among 31 people wounded during a shooting rampage in Ft Hood, Texas.

At least 13 people other people died when a gunman opened fire on the military base.

Action News spoke with Cooke's mother, Dianemarie Frappier who lives in North Carolina.

Frappier says her son is a specialist in the Army.

He was about to deploy for his 3rd tour overseas, this time to Afghanistan.
