New York's Wine Industry Thriving

A survey of New York's wineries found vineyards have seen a 20% increase in the number of visitors over the last 6 years.

The New York Wine and Grape Foundation says in the last seven months, 33 new wineries have been licensed.

The state now has 273.

The foundation finds most of that growth has been in areas like The Thousand Islands, near Lake Champlain, and New York City which out outside of traditional winery regions.
